maiden x cursed prince

Years ago—decades or centuries, no one is sure—the prince cut out his own heart. Now, he devours the hearts of maidens to survive. His brutality has cursed his kingdom, blanketing it in ice and snow.

Once a year, the people from a village near the palace come together and choose a maiden from among their people. They send her to the cursed prince's frozen castle in the hope that she will melt is heart and break his curse. This year's maiden cares nothing for breaking curses. This year's maiden volunteered because she hopes she can rescue the previous year's victim: her sister.

Note: Vaguely inspired by the Koschei folklore.

beauty x beast

He is cursed to be a monster after spurning the love of a sorceress. She agrees to be his prisoner in exchange for her father's life. As they grow to know each other better, he learns that his position has insulated him from the cruelty of the world. She learns there is more to the beast than first she thought and, perhaps, that the curse is not entirely justified.

fae lady x fae lord ❦

A lord and lady of the fae from opposing courts play terrifying games with each other in an attempt to destroy the other. Whether they are innately set against each other as embodiments of different entities or mere opposed politically, it is their goal to destroy each other and each claim some victory over the other. As each attempts to break the other, they begin to come to a place of mutual respect, affection, and perhaps even a twisted sort of love.

rusalka x prince

A young peasant woman and a prince meet by happenstance and begin a secret romance. When the prince's parents finds out about the romance, they have the young woman drowned. But love defies all things: the prince, going to the place where the young woman drowned, discovers that she has become a rusalka and swears to love her always. The two are torn between her new sisters and his family, as well as his obligations to his throne.
